Big file. I've warned you. Sorry that there isn't a picture for every step, but that's because I can't draw anything small, and it was not square enough for MS Paint to resize smoothly.  shame about the spelling mistakes
(and also it is still pretty hard to use the pencil tool in paint with a tablet... bezier is much more precise) -- A Freudian slip is when you say one thing but you mean your mother.    This is great! I've been looking for a tutorial like this. How did you figure out the way to get rid of the sketchlines? It's a great idea.  Nice tutorial. It makes me want to draw in paint now. C:

The tutorial helped me LOADS! Now, ima gonna try it out Thank you!  When I tried getting rid of the sketch, it didn't work for me. It just turned my picture black. XD But other than my technology-impaired-ness, the tutorial was awesome.
